“The name's Mr. Inazuma! I rain down the thunder of justice!” Chapter 27

Yuu ( (ゆう) ), also known by his self-declared alias "Mr. Inazuma" (Mr. (ミスター) イナズマ Misutā Inazuma), is a child whose sister was kidnapped to be auctioned at the 208th Rakuzaichi. He entered the Rakuzaichi building in an attempt to rescue her on the 8th of November.

He is a minor character in the Rakuzaichi Arc.

Appearance[]

Yuu is young boy with short black hair. He wears a white shirt and white shorts, with a large hoodie serving as a makeshift cape during his invasion of the Rakuzaichi. He additionally wore a helmet emblazoned with a lightning bolt on the front, though it was knocked off by a guard shortly after Yuu's entrance into the building.

Personality[]

Despite his young age, Yuu is a courageous, deeply determined boy. While originally scared of thunder, after his sister advised him that thunder would only strike evil, he would later don it as his moniker through the alias of 'Mr. Inazuma'. Likewise, despite the entire city leaving the Rakuzaichi aside in order to prioritise their own lives, Yuu boldly entered it head-on in an attempt to save his sister, in spite of having written about his fear in his notebook beforehand. To reinforce his courage, Yuu would tell himself that he was a hero entering the lair of evil.

Relationships[]

Sister[]

As siblings, Yuu and his sister care about each other deeply. When Yuu was scared of thunder, his sister calmed him by telling him that the sky only punishes bad people by striking them with thunder. When she was kidnapped and slated for auction at the Rakuzaichi, despite knowing full well the danger of the situation, Yuu still entered the auction building, showing how much he wished to save her and by extension the strength of their connection. After reuniting, Yuu tearfully fell into his sister's embrace. Yuu's sister, when falling amidst the shattering Storehouse, saw a memory flash before her eyes of her and her brother, and tears welled in her eyes at the thought of leaving him alone.

Chihiro Rokuhira[]

Chihiro saved Yuu from a guard and was considerate enough to correct himself after Yuu introduced himself as Mr. Inazuma, after having previously referred to him as simply 'Inazuma'. Chihiro additionally advanced his approach to the building early after seeing Yuu enter in order to save him, his being off-schedule noted by Shiba. Chihiro and Hakuri would later save Yuu's sister, with Yuu sending Chihiro this thanks through Char afterwards.

Plot[]

Past[]

Sometime in the past, when Yuu was afraid during a thunderstorm, his sister told him that she would protect him. When he was still afraid, she informed him that lightning would never strike good kids, as it was what the sky used to punish evildoers. From then on, Yuu was no longer scared of thunder.[1]

Sometime before the 208th Rakuzaichi, Yuu's sister was kidnapped and slated for auction.[2]

Rakuzaichi Arc[]

Before setting out to the Rakuzaichi building, Yuu wrote in his notebook that he was 'Mr. Inazuma', and he would enter the den of evil as a hero to rain down the thunder of justice on evildoers.

Yuu enters the Rakuzaichi

At just before noon at the 208th Rakuzaichi, Yuu approached the building. The guards outside let him pass, not seeing him as a threat. One of them jokingly told the inside guards to be on alert for one intruder. After entering, Yuu was promptly grabbed by a guard by the neck, and he demanded they free his sister. When they refused and laughed at him, Yuu pulled out a knife and stabbed the guard in the forearm, to his anger. While the other guards jeered at the injured guard, Yuu continued shouting for them to free his sister, though the injured guard was more preoccupied with yelling at the outside guards for letting him get stabbed. As the injured guard pulled the knife out and stabbed down at Yuu, Chihiro entered the building and severed the guard's arm, grabbing Yuu. Chihiro congratulated Yuu on a job well done before activating Cloud Gouger just as Shiba dropped the chandelier.[3]

Shiba quickly grabbed Yuu and teleported back to his car, entrusting Yuu to Hinao's care before teleporting back into the building with Hakuri.[4] Later, Yuu, Hinao and Char began seeing people emerge on the front yard of the Rakuzaichi, prisoners who Hakuri had transported out of Kyora's Storehouse. Hinao moved to go check who they were, Char wondering if Yuu's sister was among them.[5]

Sometime after 3:47 pm, Chihiro and Hakuri rescued all the prisoners, Yuu's sister also in the front yard. As she walked out of the gates, Yuu ran up to her and hugged her in tears.[6][7]

Sword Bearer Assassination Arc[]

Yuu asked Char to give his thanks to Chihiro, which she did at 11:00 am on the 9th of November, when Chihiro and Hakuri woke up. Chihiro thanked her for passing on the message as she left.[8]

Equipment[]

Knife[]

When he entered the Rakuzaichi building, Yuu used a knife to stab a guard's arm.[9]

Etymology[]

  • (ゆう) (Yū): Means 'rich'.
