The Raid on the Rakuzaichi is a large-scale battle fought by multiple parties at the site of the 208th Rakuzaichi, primarily concerning the auctioning of the Enchanted Blades Enten and Shinuchi.

With both Enten and Shinuchi up for auction, Chihiro and his allies prepare to attack the Rakuzaichi itself to take back both blades. Having foreseen their arrival, Kyora Sazanami prepares to defend the Rakuzaichi no matter the cost.

Prologue[]

On November 3rd, Shiba drives a car which Chihiro, Hakuri, Hinao and Char ride in. Chihiro explains his plan to conduct reconnaissance within the Storehouse using Enten's newfound position within the Storehouse and his ability to remotely activate Enten, the latter deduced from Sojo's remote activation of Cloud Gouger. In this way, they would be able to learn more about the Storehouse. Chihiro activates Enten and summons a small black goldfish to view through, monitoring the Storehouse from within, and immediately sees Kyora near Enten and Shinuchi.

On the 4th of November, Chihiro tells Shiba he has confirmed the Storehouse is most likely a subspace, given its structure would be impossible within the real world. Chihiro asks Hakuri how leadership of the clan and access to the Storehouse is passed down, and Hakuri remembers there was a ceremony performed in the underground Sazanami Clan cemetery between his father and grandfather. Shiba ponders the viability of forcing the ceremony to be performed to pass Storehouse authority to Shiba, and Chihiro agrees though questions the existence of insurance for the Storehouse.

Later, Shiba begins instructing Hakuri on sorcery, firmly believing Hakuri could use Isou. He reviews how spirit energy was within everyone, and sorcerers trained to control it and reinforce their body, with acquisition of sorcery coming afterwards. Shiba recalls Hakuri had taken a hit from Flame Bone and survived where most people would have died, evidence that Hakuri was already unconsciously circulating spirit energy through his body to defend himself; an indication he was capable of using sorcery.

He notes Hakuri's constant mistreatment within the clan may have led to Hakuri believing himself incapable and thus generating a mental block between himself and his abilities. Shiba instructs Hakuri to grab onto the feeling of using spirit energy once he unleashes it in order to grasp the depth of power within himself, assuring him he will be a sorcerer should he learn to understand and freely command his abilities.

The Emergency Door

The Emergency Door

On November 6th, Chihiro shares with Shiba the existence of a door to nowhere within the Storehouse that nobody used. The two speculate that it might lead to somewhere in the real world, as an emergency door in case the clan head died without passing down Storehouse authority. Hakuri also recognizes the symbol on the door, adding evidence to Chihiro and Shiba's hypothesis.

On November 8th, the day of the 208th Rakuzaichi, prior to the auction proper beginning, Chihiro voices to Shiba within Shiba's car his desire to confront the yakuza head-on and maintains their operation will begin at 12:00 noon. He adds he will be using Cloud Gouger, which surprises Shiba as he had thought it to be broken, though Chihiro clarifies it is nearly out of energy. Shiba brings up that he could teleport them down directly past the guards but Chihiro states there will be security everywhere, and he also plans to deal with the problem of Hiyuki's Flame Bone early on. Shiba asks if Chihiro plans to fight and Chihiro replies he will negotiate instead, using the situation to their advantage.

Understanding Chihiro's aim, Shiba decides to move to the underground ahead of Chihiro in order to engage the Tou. Hakuri informs Shiba that Kyora considered Soya even smarter than himself. Remembering Soya's overly emotional state during their fight, Shiba is sceptical, and Hakuri agrees, having never seen that side of him before: this meant Hakuri was a weakness of Soya's that they could exploit to circumvent his intelligence. Hakuri volunteers to lure Soya away and Shiba thanks him, before both Chihiro and Shiba tell Hakuri that he can find them near the surface or underground respectively if need be, and they can handle Soya. They park the car outside the building, with Chihiro, Hakuri Hinao and Char waiting inside the car while Shiba enters the building first.

The auction begins

The auction begins

As the time ticks closer to noon, two sorcerers, one with an oni-like mask and another bald with tattoos, discuss the two Enchanted Blades on auction and the resulting uneasy calm that had arose as a result, though they concede that commotion would likely arise later on that night. The two watch as various criminals entered the doors of the Rakuzaichi building (which had been open since 11:00 am), and prepare for the auction's beginning at 12:00 noon.

Battle[]

Lobby[]

At roughly 11:53 am, Kyora contemplates on how Chihiro hadn't tried anything over the last five days, but sets the matter aside as he prepares to take the stage. On a balcony overlooking the Rakuzaichi's front entrance, a sunglasses-wearing guard briefs an investigating Shiba on the security situation: as with all Rakuzaichi events, three people per party were allowed to enter the underground auction hall, while the rest banded together to guard the outside and ground floor. The Sazanami Clan's sorcerers patrolled the building's interior. One thing different was the 50-million yen bounty placed by the Sazanami on Chihiro Rokuhira, bearer of Enten.

A young child named Yuu then walks into the yard, calling himself 'Mr. Inazuma'. The outside guards ignore him as he walks into the building, where the inside guards confront him and mock him after learning he is there to save his sister. Yuu then stabs one guard holding him up. Outside, Shiba notices Chihiro entering the courtyard ahead of schedule (the time being roughly 11:58) and enters the building, staring down at the guard, who had taken Yuu's knife and was preparing to stab him. Abruptly Chihiro enters and severs the guard's arm just as Shiba drops the chandelier, plunging the room into darkness.

Chihiro readies Cloud Gouger

Chihiro readies Cloud Gouger

Chihiro then activates Cloud Gouger, calling Mei. As the clock strikes noon, Kyora ascends the stairs to the Rakuzaichi stage and opens the 208th Rakuzaichi. Hearing the chandelier fall, Kyora realises Chihiro was present and that he knows about the Storehouse's emergency door, thus he was likely headed to the Naginojoen on the Rakuzaichi's lowest floor. Kyora is glad seeing various groups dispatch sorcerers after Chihiro, as through Chihiro's death Enten would be rendered usable and thus its value would increase.

Meanwhile, Shiba teleports into the car with Yuu and grabs Hakuri, teleporting the two near the Naginojoen. Within the foyer, Chihiro places the stub of Cloud Gouger in his mouth and cloaks himself in Mei's lightning, using his wakizashi to slash through various guards. The guards attempt to target the light source but find only Cloud Gouger, Chihiro having momentarily used its light as a diversion. He catches Cloud Gouger and slashes through the guard only for the lights to turn on. Looking up, Chihiro sees four sorcerers have fixed the chandelier, all the while more guards move in. Abruptly, the nearby wall explodes and Hiyuki walks in.

Chihiro and Hiyuki reunite

Chihiro and Hiyuki reunite

In the auction hall proper, two members of the Kamunabi's Shinuchi Bidding Team discuss their priority: retrieving Shinuchi, with no focus on anything else, including the various prisoners as well as Enten. While the younger woman is hesitant, the older man attests that by obtaining Shinuchi they can save millions of lives. In the foyer, Chihiro and Hiyuki rapidly rush at each other, slashing and slamming their way through the mass of guards, before coming face to face. Tafuku quickly grabs a guard and opens his subspace, removing the four of them from the outside world.

Hiyuki remarks she and Tafuku had been assigned to watch over Chihiro and prevent him from dying, and that if he resists they'll arrest him. She asks why he handed over Enten to the Sazanami, and Chihiro replies he was investigating the Storehouse, offering to share the info he had learnt. Hiyuki crassly refuses and nonchalantly reveals the Kamunabi were bidding on Shinuchi, to Tafuku's annoyance. Chihiro brings up the moral grievances of the auction and asks if the Kamunabi planned to simply buy Shinuchi and 'protect' Chihiro while ignoring the rest of the auction, which Hiyuki coldly confirms.

To the side, Tafuku mentally notes Hiyuki was heavily opposed to the plan and only agreed due to knowing the importance of recovering Shinuchi, being personally acquainted with great strength. Chihiro, attempting to reach Hiyuki's more moral side, once again asks if Hiyuki was really okay with letting innocents suffer. Hiyuki cuts him off with a stomp that shatters the ground, telling him that his jabs weren't going to yield him Shinuchi. While originally stone-faced, Hiyuki's temper rapidly sours to the point of reopening her wound inflicted by Chihiro through sheer rage.

She declares to Tafuku that she has had enough of picking her battles and is just going to destroy it all, ignoring the plan. Tafuku turns to Chihiro and tells him that Hiyuki would likely aim to let Chihiro go for now and kill him after he had retrieved Enten and Shinuchi. Upon Chihiro's acknowledgement, Tafuku knocks out the guard he had grabbed, closing the subspace, and Chihiro charges off downstairs while Hiyuki and Tafuku prevent the guards from reaching him. After eliminating the guards, Tafuku asks Hiyuki if she will really kill Chihiro once everything is done, given Chihiro would never do the same. Hiyuki states she had only spared him on their first encounter due to him being pitiful; while she may be ignoring her orders to let the Rakuzaichi progress as normal, she was still going to kill Chihiro and retrieve Enten.

Hallway[]

Various auction-goers notice the Tou are not posted at their usual position on the stage's four corners. Rather, this year they were posted outside the Naginojoen door. Tamaki wonders why, given the Tou and Kyora were the only ones who knew about it, and Tenri speculates that Kyora's posting of them by the door was likely due to a risk that somebody knew this year. Soya adds that given his alliance with Hakuri and the possibility he could remotely access Enten, Chihiro may know about the door. When Tamaki asks why Kyora didn't simply tell them outright, Enji responds he may have been affected from his recent dealing with Hakuri, and states in any case their clear instructions meant they should focus on their duty, especially as Chihiro may bring allies.

Chihiro sees the Hishaku insignia on Yura's hand

Chihiro sees the Hishaku insignia on Yura's hand

Tenri receives a report that Chihiro has arrived, just as Soya spots Hakuri peering around the stairs at the end of the corridor. Soya immediately charges after them and as he leaves Shiba arrives at the door, noting he cannot teleport in and rhetorically asking how to enter. Hakuri advances to a corridor further up and sees Chihiro racing down the stairs on the opposite side, four suited individuals standing in his way. Chihiro calls for Hakuri to come to him and activates Mei, slashing through three of the four in seconds. His slash towards the fourth, Yura, is blocked at the arm by Yura's arm and Chihiro is forced back to the middle of the corridor, just as a wall of trees emerges between Chihiro and Hakuri. Yura notes Cloud Gouger's strength has decreased as Chihiro spots the Hishaku insignia on Yura's hand.

Blocked by the wall of trees, Hakuri has nowhere to run and Soya grabs him and thrusts him against the wall, saying that Hakuri must have come to see him and promising to kill anyone who made Hakuri rebel against the family. Hakuri wonders if he should head back to Shiba but decides not to take advantage of their kindness and stand up for himself. Black shadows erupt from Hakuri's left eye as he pulls away from Soya and declares he is going to defeat him, readying his hands to activate Isou.

Yura introduces himself as the leader of the Hishaku

Yura introduces himself as the leader of the Hishaku

On the other side, Yura notes Chihiro has grown up quite a bit before Chihiro slams him into a wall and levels both blades at him, emotionally breaking down but retaining enough stability to try and interrogate him. Yura coolly replies he was the leader of the Hishaku, and directly responsible for orchestrating the murder of Chihiro's father, though he wasn't present in person. Yura then forces Chihiro back and kicks him into the wall of trees, summoning branches to restrain him. After briefly commenting on Cloud Gouger's decreasing output again, he shushes Chihiro as the auction begins.

In the auction hall, several bodies lay pierced with blades near the stage as Kyora announces that they will revealing their special item before standard proceedings. He states 18 years ago the Seitei War began after an enemy invaded Japan, and the nation's entire sorcerer population was still unable to maintain ground. However, the hero Kunishige Rokuhira changed everything with the six Enchanted Blades. The first five turned the tide of battle, while Kyora credits the sixth to leading Japan to victory. He displays a projection of Shinuchi on the stage, declaring that the masterpiece will be unleashed again after 18 years.

Down in the hallway, Chihiro demands to know why the Hishaku are auctioning Shinuchi, what they are after and why they killed his father, screaming as his expression pains. Yura responds both to answer Chihiro's question and as a declaration of war that his actions, including ensuring the Rakuzaichi proceeded as planned, are entirely so that he can wield Shinuchi. Chihiro has several questions but is determined in any case to stop the Sazanami and the Hishaku. Rather than kill him, Yura is more curious to talk with Chihiro, deciding to see what had grown from the seeds of revenge he had sown. Furious, Chihiro vows for Cloud Gouger to die by his side, accessing the True Realm and activating Mei: Shred.

Chihiro uses Mei: Shred against Yura

Chihiro speeds forward, bursting from the wall's restraints and severing one of Yura's arms, his superior speed relative to before surprising Yura. The two continue their engagement but even as Chihiro lands several more blows on Yura, the Hishaku leader remains composed. Knowing he would have to go all-out to kill Yura, and seeing he would require a solid amount of power to get through the wall of trees, Chihiro decides to prioritise the Rakuzaichi, but promises he will kill Yura one day, before slashing through the wall of trees.

Yura is impressed at Chihiro's rationalisation just as Hiyuki walks down the stairs towards him, mockingly asking if he needed someone to accompany him in Chihiro's absence. Yura replies he is satisfied and that the Sazanami were defending the Rakuzaichi, promptly teleporting out. Hiyuki spots the Hishaku insignia on his hand just as Yura disappears in a flash of flame and several Sazanami sorcerers arrive on-scene, who she quickly defeats.

On the other side, sometime prior to Chihiro activating Mei: Shred, Hakuri calls Isou but fails to use it once again. Frustrated, Soya throws Hakuri to the ground and begins kicking him, shouting that there was nothing Hakuri could do as he was a weakling. Even as he is hit, Hakuri sees black lightning coursing around the wall of trees and realises Chihiro is attempting to get through. As Soya continues berating Hakuri and shouting that Chihiro must be manipulating Hakuri unlike himself who loved Hakuri, Hakuri shouts back that Chihiro is not like that and stands up, successfully performing Isou and producing a weak shockwave that knocks Soya back, close to the wall of trees. Chihiro then bursts through the wall of trees, cutting deep into Soya's back in the process.

Sensing something amiss downstairs, Chihiro and Hakuri prepare to head down but Soya picks himself back up, bloodied and wounded but not defeated. With a new tone of voice, Soya voices his determination to kill Hakuri no matter what given he was beyond the point of no return, a seriousness that Hakuri has never seen before visible. Chihiro readies himself to engage but Hakuri motions him downwards. Hakuri remembers how Chihiro had not finished Soya off just now and reasons he was hesitant to do so given his relation to Hakuri. Thus, he tells Chihiro he will handle Soya, as they needed to keep moving and in addition, he had to put his own life on the line to handle the situation once and for all. Concerned but respectful of Hakuri's preferences, and also sensing Hakuri had made major progress with his sorcery, Chihiro leaves.

Hakuri and Soya prepare to attack each other

Hakuri and Soya prepare to attack each other

Hakuri and Soya send simultaneous shockwaves at each other, and Soya's is vastly superior, blasting Hakuri into the wall on the other side of the corridor and shattering it. Soya states coldly that Hakuri was still far inferior to him, and now needed to die due to his disloyalty and for not being as compliant as he used to be. He then walks over and sends a second shockwave into Hakuri before proceeding downstairs. Hearing a pair of pliers fall behind him on the stairs, Soya turns around to see a large black flare surround Hakuri's head, shortly before more tools he had once used on Hakuri begin appearing out of nowhere.

Hakuri focuses inward on his sorcery, detecting that he has two powers; not just Isou, but a Storehouse of his own. Soya is flabbergasted, having come to the same realisation and knowing Hakuri was the same kind of genius as the first clan head of the Sazanami Clan, who had the same two sorcery abilities. Hakuri drags himself to his feet, now with the mask of the Storehouse resplendent over his left eye. Soya is furious, slamming Hakuri against the wall and screaming that it should be impossible, even as he coughs out blood.

Hakuri defeats Soya

Knowing Soya is also in poor condition even as he slams him against the wall again and again, Hakuri resolves himself. As Soya lets him go, Hakuri stays on his feet, and as Soya angrily demands to know how he is still alive, Hakuri responds it is because Soya always 'loved' him; or rather, abused him. With the spirit energy previously inefficiently dedicated to the Storehouse now directed towards Isou, Hakuri produces one last shockwave that devastates Soya and knocks him out. Hakuri then walks downstairs to the corridor outside the Naginojoen.

Naginojoen Corridor[]

Tenri uses the Datenseki

Tenri uses the Datenseki

Immediately after asking about the door, Shiba engages Tamaki, Tenri and Enji and defeats them in short order, craters left in the walls and floor in the wake of their battle. Tamaki is unconscious by the wall, Enji is battered and bruised on the ground while Shiba holds a cigarette to Tenri's eye as he asks about how to open the door. Enji groans out that he will tell him, and as Shiba moves towards him, Tenri grinds out his disagreement, determined to defend the Rakuzaichi. Kyora summons a piece of semi-stabilised Datenseki near him and orders him to defend to the death, and Tenri immediately activates it.

Tenri's spirit energy is promptly amplified and manifested as a jellyfish, and he proceeds to resume combat against Shiba once more, with his physical capabilities and shockwaves greatly increased in strength. As Shiba is caught in the shoulder by one blast, Kyora summons a number of blades in front of Tenri, who promptly flings them forth, but they are caught by Chihiro's Yui. Seeing Tenri's determination to his father and the Rakuzaichi, Chihiro decides to respect it and give him an honourable death, activating Mei: Shred.

With black lightning crackling around, Chihiro and Tenri fly around the room at high speed. Tenri aims a shockwave and Chihiro dodges before aiming a counterattack, but Chihiro hesitates and Tenri explodes before Chihiro can deliver the finishing blow. Hakuri then comes downstairs, and the three enter the Naginojoen. Upon learning of how Hakuri's battle with Soya had turned out, Shiba is impressed, having never seen two abilities in one person before, and also commenting Hakuri's growth was exceptional for someone new to sorcery. Hakuri asks Chihiro if he had foreseen this outcome and that's why he had the confidence to leave Hakuri against Soya, and Chihiro responds that is part of the reason. He also mentions that if he got in the way of Hakuri's determination, they couldn't be equal allies.

Back outside, Enji wakes up Tamaki, and upon her asking he informs her that the intruders are heading for the emergency door. Watching the situation via surveillance cameras, Kyora notes how Tenri's sacrifice had depleted Cloud Gouger and injured Shiba, just as Cloud Gouger cracks and Chihiro notes the energy was gone, though Shiba states they just need to take Enten from within the Storehouse. Shiba asks if Hakuri could interfere with Kyora's Storehouse and Hakuri notes while their abilities work the same way, they controlled separate space.

The destroyed emergency door

The destroyed emergency door

The three enter the room where the emergency door is located only to find it has been broken, and behind them, Enji and Tamaki rush in only to be horrified by the same sight. Musing to himself, Kyora notes the importance of setting up backup plans. Their goal had been to handle Chihiro and his allies; thus, to counter Shiba's teleportation, they needed to guarantee he was in one location in order to fight and weaken him. Chihiro is horrified at Tenri's sacrifice for an already-broken door, as is Enji, who decides that as they couldn't turn back, they had to ensure Tenri's death was not in vain. Alongside Tamaki, Enji prepares to activate Isou and the two rush in.

Shiba immediately realises they had never had any chance of winning and proposes they retreat. Like their attack on the Sazanami Estate, Chihiro is resolute that retreating will achieve nothing. Hakuri instead tells Shiba to teleport himself and Chihiro to the auction hall, and he does so. Shiba proceeds to handily defeat Enji and Tamaki, holding the former by the collar while the latter struggles to pick herself up. Enji pleads with Shiba to kill him as he could never face Tenri if he were to live with such a defeat. Shiba refuses, instead telling Enji and Tamaki to go back to re-educate the Sazanami children, in order to ensure no other member of the clan ended up sacrificing themselves for nothing like Tenri did.

Storehouse[]

Hakuri arrives on the stairs of the auction hall and Kyora notes Hakuri must have realised he can send entities into Kyora's Storehouse. He admits it is his own fault for not recognising Hakuri's talent but is uncaring, internally stating they are no longer connected. Hakuri sits on the stairs, concentrates and is able to transport pliers into Kyora's Storehouse, and tells Chihiro that though he can't interfere with entities Kyora has registered, he can send his own registered entities into Kyora's Storehouse. Kyora then enters the Storehouse, leaving a projection of himself on the stage to conduct auction proceedings, which Hakuri notices and comments on to Chihiro.

Hakuri registers Chihiro and informs him of such. He also notices he can transport Enten due to Chihiro's spirit energy still within Enten. Chihiro asks what will happen to the Storehouse if Kyora is killed, and Hakuri speculates Chihiro's theory is correct and the space won't be destroyed immediately. Chihiro wonders if Hakuri could take over as manager of Kyora's Storehouse and tells Hakuri he doesn't need to transport Enten to him; just send him into Kyora's Storehouse. Hakuri asks Chihiro to kill his father and sends him into the Storehouse.

Kyora begins the auction for Shinuchi

Kyora begins the auction for Shinuchi

Kyora sees Chihiro swoop down from above and launches two earth pillars at him. Chihiro destroys the pillars by using the last of Cloud Energy's in one final Mei, descending down to Enten's box and once more reclaiming his blade. Chihiro promptly calls Nishiki and uses Kuro: Shred, black goldfish flooding the area, before stabbing forward. Kyora blocks with a wall of earth before sending pillars to attack Chihiro, who dodges around the area and is unable to advance to attack. Kyora surrounds Chihiro with grenades but Chihiro slashes through with his Nishiki-enhanced sword, the spirit energy lacing the grenades allowing Hakuri to transport the grenades into the auction hall.

Kyora then notices Chihiro has used the black goldfish spread by Kuro: Shred to tag many of the prisoners, letting Hakuri transport them out. Kyora immediately put up walls around the prisoners before his projection declares the auctioning of Shinuchi will begin immediately. The volume of transportation has caused Hakuri's great physical and mental damage, which Kyora notices. Kyora drops the earth beneath Chihiro and stabs earth towards his position, but only manages to impale Chihiro's coat. Further pillars continue chasing Chihiro, and Chihiro uses the remaining goldfish from his earlier Kuro: Shred to launch an array of slashes forward, which Kyora blocks with a wall. Chihiro hurls Enten forward but Kyora parries with a saber before detonating Chihiro in an explosion.

However, Chihiro had been transported and swapped out for a projection by Hakuri, the real Chihiro slicing down from above and landing a grievous slash wound to Kyora's chest. Kyora immediately encases himself within the earth, and transports Shinuchi to him, channeling his spirit energy within the blade and declaring the auction will proceed no matter what.

Magatsumi[]

Kyora wielding Magatsumi, a butterfly of spirit energy behind him

Chihiro sends a Kuro into the earth which hits Kyora again, but looks into the hole to see Kyora missing and Shinuchi's box empty. Chihiro turns to see Kyora behind him, the still-sheathed blade in his grasp. At Kamunabi Headquarters, Akemura Soga calls Shinuchi's true name, Magatsumi, as a drop of spirit energy falls to form a field of flowers, a butterfly emerging and imbuing itself in Kyora's hand. Kyora then swings forth and clashes Shinuchi's sheath with Enten's blade, Kyora expressing his delight at witnessing Shinuchi's power.

While Kyora begins using Magatsumi's techniques against Chihiro, his projection declares he will demonstrate the blade against the interloper, projecting an image of the Storehouse's interior for the auction-goers to see. Kyora abruptly feels a foreign presence in his mind, Soga attempting to possess him, and proceeds to fight it off while also combatting Chihiro. In the auction hall, Hiyuki walks down the stairs, Hakuri informing her of the situation and agreeing to transport her into the Storehouse though telling her to cooperate with Chihiro or he would not let her out.

After detonating the ground and preventing Dragonfly from reaching Chihiro, Hiyuki and Chihiro briefly discuss the situation and notice the Storehouse disintegrating around them before re-engaging Kyora, though Kyora's amplified physical capabilities in addition to Magatsumi's abilities make him more than a match for the two. After using Centipede to blast the two back, Kyora's mental state is ravaged to the point where his projections disappear, and the Storehouse begins collapsing faster than before before Kyora, Chihiro and Hiyuki are ejected entirely.

Magatsumi's flower field wreaks havoc

Magatsumi's flower field wreaks havoc

Kyora blasts Chihiro and Hiyuki off the stage with a second Centipede but kneels down from the exertion of waging a battle inside his mind, spirit energy leaking from Magatsumi and a flower field beginning to spread and engulf the seats. Those caught within have flowers grow from their inside body, killing them. Hakuri sends Chihiro back into the Storehouse to free the prisoners from the crumbling Storehouse, aiming to save them before Kyora's mental fortitude gives out as he is the only thing slowing the Storehouse's destruction.

Chihiro uses Nishiki and makes contact with each prisoner using his spirit-energy-coated hand, tagging them and thus letting them be transported out by Hakuri. Kyora abruptly envisions his wife telling him about her hatred for the Rakuzaichi and envisions a world in which it did not exist, but shatters the idyllic vision after remembering his father reminding him of his duty, destroying the flower field and rising before yelling at the auction-goers to kill the intruders. Hiyuki and Shiba defend Hakuri and he and Chihiro manage to transport all the prisoners out, Chihiro transported onto the stage afterward. Kyora sets Magatsumi down, dying from his wounds as himself.

Aftermath[]

The auction-goers see Magatsumi is free to be taken and rush the stage, but Shiba teleports onto it with Hakuri and grabs Chihiro, Chihiro quickly aiming to retrieve Magatsumi before the three disappeared. In the meantime, Hiyuki lays waste to the building, which begins to collapse, the Shinuchi Bidding Team also leaving. As Shiba lands outside, he notices Chihiro is not present; Tafuku had transported him into his battle dimension, and Hiyuki apologetically prepares to take Magatsumi from him.

Chihiro tells Hiyuki that after seeing the horrifying nature of Shinuchi's power he couldn't let it be on the loose, and was willing to have it be sealed by the Kamunabi, but was wary of the risks, as the Hishaku had planned around the Kamunabi obtaining Shinuchi. Hiyuki acknowledges his point but maintains that they would be able to reseal Shinuchi and stop the Hishaku. Chihiro then states their goals are the same, and so he offers to join the Kamunabi; this way, the Kamunabi would be able to keep tabs on Enten and Chihiro would be able to continue actively opposing the Hishaku.

Sometime later, Shiba and Hakuri notice the building fully collapsing and Chihiro, Tafuku and Hiyuki walking out. Shiba sees Hiyuki is holding a fully bandaged Magatsumi, but Chihiro assures him that they had made a deal regarding what was to happen next. Chihiro sits on the ground and asks Hakuri what he would do. Hakuri responds that Shiba had convinced Enji and Tamaki to take care of the remnants of the family, though he is reluctant to return as he would be considered an enemy. While originally hesitant on what to do, upon seeing Yuu reunite with his sister Hakuri is reminded of the hope he had helped preserve in the world and thinks back to his talks with the icy-skinned woman, ultimately asking to keep fighting with Chihiro.

The Curtain Falls

The Curtain Falls

For over two centuries, the Rakuzaichi had assigned values to peoples' lives in a hivemind of villainy; now, after all that time, the auction was finally over. Hakuri and Chihiro promptly fall unconscious and Shiba takes them back to his apartment, and Hiyuki and Tafuku follow. Chihiro and Hakuri would wake up around 11:00 am the next day, where Hiyuki would take them to Kamunabi Headquarters to meet with the organisation's leaders to see if they would approve of Chihiro's proposal.

Less than a day after the Rakuzaichi's destruction, having found out the Kamunabi had taken possession of Shinuchi, the Hishaku delight in how everything is proceeding according to their plans. Yura then announces that their next plan of action would now commence.
