Kagurabachi Wiki

Please observe these rules always. If you notice vandalism, revert it. Don't wait for the admins to enforce it.

Read all the rules pages before editing, just reading one doesn't cut it.

Kagurabachi Wiki policies are statements which carry varying scope and power. In general, they lay out how the site is to be run and what methods should be used to tackle certain issues.

General Ruleset

  • No Vandalism or Spam:
    • Do not engage in vandalism, such as adding false or malicious information.
    • Refrain from spamming links or content.
    • Report vandalism promptly and do not revert war. Doing so will almost always result in a block.
  • Encourage Quality and Accuracy:
    • Ensure that all information added is accurate, verifiable, and unbiased.
    • Verify facts and cite reliable sources when possible.
    • Correct errors, but do so responsibly and provide an explanation in the edit summary.
    • Use reliable sources.
      • Machine-translated content with no direct human input in the translation process, regardless of whether it was edited or not, is not considered a reliable source on this wiki and should not be included in articles unless the user who adds it has personally verified the contents via cross-referencing the Japanese release.
  • Maintain Neutrality:
    • Write articles from a neutral point of view, avoiding biased language.
    • Respect diverse opinions and avoid edit wars; use the discussion pages to resolve disputes.
  • Create Notable Content:
    • Content should be relevant and significant to the subject matter of the Wiki.
    • Avoid excessive or irrelevant content, advertisements, or self-promotion.
  • Proper Formatting and Organization:
Follow the Wiki's style guide and formatting conventions consistently. Use appropriate headings, bullet points, and links to enhance readability. Categorize articles appropriately and maintain a clear structure.
  • Be Courteous and Civil:
    • Treat fellow editors and users with respect and politeness.
    • Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or offensive language.
    • Use the discussion pages for constructive criticism.
  • Copyright Compliance:
    • Do not upload copyrighted images, videos, or content without proper permissions.
    • Use non-copyrighted, Creative Commons, or public domain content whenever possible.
  • No Plagiarism:
    • Do not copy content from other sources without proper attribution nor paraphrase or summarize information when needed. Plagiarism, in any form, is wrong, and is strictly prohibited. We are our own wiki. Do your own research and collaborate with your fellow editors to reach the right answer.
  • Use Talk/Discussion Pages:
    • Utilize the discussion pages for article-related debates and suggestions.
    • Seek consensus on significant changes or disputes.
  • Usernames and Profiles:
    • Choose respectful and non-offensive usernames.
    • Provide informative user profiles with a brief introduction and interests.
  • Privacy and Personal Information:
    • Do not share personal information about yourself or others on Wiki Fandom.
    • Respect privacy and confidentiality.
  • Follow Wiki-specific Policies:
    • Adhere to any additional rules or policies specific to the Wiki Fandom site you are editing.
  • Reporting Issues:
    • Report violations of these rules to administrators or moderators promptly.
    • Provide evidence and details to support your report.
  • Consequences of Violation:
    • Violating these rules may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the violation and the Wiki's policies.
  • Do not create articles containing fanon. This wiki deals with the official light novel/anime/manga content. Fanon materials aren't allowed.

Adverting Arguments

  • No Self-Promotion:
Users are prohibited from using Wiki Fandom to promote themselves, their businesses, products, services, or personal interests unless it's directly related to the Wiki's subject matter and contributes value to the community. Any promotional content must be presented in an unbiased, factual, and informative manner. Users should avoid overly promotional language.
  • Avoid Edit Wars:
If there are disagreements regarding promotional content, avoid edit wars. Use the discussion pages to engage in a constructive dialogue and reach a consensus. Do not go out of your way to attack another user's work, nor do they themselves.
  • Encourage Value Addition:
Encourage users to contribute content that genuinely adds value to the Wiki's subject matter. Emphasize the importance of informative, well-researched, and unbiased content creation.
  • When presenting an issue with an article, bring in all points of view, not just one.
  • Do not fill articles with content that makes no sense.
  • If you sense tension in a conversation and think an argument is about to start, stop replying. Leave it on talk page or contact admins instead.

Behavior Ruleset

Wikia has its own rules that are automatically on each wiki. We observe most of them here as well. They are as follows;

  1. Edit and create pages! It's a wiki, that's what it's for! But, if you make an edit that is not in good faith (i.e. Trolling edit), you may face a block.
  2. Be Courteous and Civil: Treat fellow editors and users with respect and politeness. Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or offensive language. Use the discussion pages for constructive criticism and disagreements.
  3. Obey all rules. If you do not you will face the consequences of the admins.
  4. Assume good faith; in other words, try to consider the person on the other end of the discussion is a thinking, rational being, who is trying to positively contribute to the project — unless, and only unless, you have firm, solid, and objective proof to the contrary. Merely disagreeing with you is no such proof. That goes for sysops as well.
  5. Particularly, don't revert good faith edits. Reverting is a little too powerful sometimes. Don't succumb to the temptation, unless you're reverting to very obvious vandalism. If you really can't stand something, revert once, with an edit summary something like "(rv) I disagree strongly, I'll explain why in talk." and immediately take it to talk.
  6. No personal attacks! Don't insult other users (even if they really are or not). Instead, explain what they did wrong, why it is wrong, and how to fix it. If possible, fix it yourself (but see above). If you fail to treat them with respect, you will be administered a one week ban. If you continue, you will receive an automatic permanent ban for harassment.

User Equality

Equality on a wiki is the idea that all users are equal despite any special circumstances. While the Kagurabachi Wiki recognizes and accepts the fact that certain individuals do have special needs, are of younger and differing ages, and vary in the quality of writing skills, these individuals cannot and will not be considered exempt from the standards of conduct and the policies that all members of this wiki are required to abide by. To that end, no physical or mental condition, age, or difference in writing skills will be considered cause to suspend the enforcement of any policy or guideline.

Consequences

Breach of this policy carries consequences that may vary depending on the seriousness of your edits. If your intent is solely to engage in disruptive behavior or trolling, you will be banned from the wiki platform as soon as possible;

  • First offense: Warning
  • Second offense: 1-week block
  • Third offense: 1-month block
  • Fourth offense: 3-month block
  • Fifth offense: Permanent block
