Kagurabachi (Japanese: カグラバチ) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono. It started serialization on September 19, 2023 as part of the second wave of releases under Issue #42, 2023 of Weekly Shounen Jump. This publication follows the previous release of MamaYuyu, which debuted in the prior issue, Issue #41, and precedes the release of Two on Ice, that made its debut in Issue #43.
Synopsis[]
Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself. The goofy father and the serious son—they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge. Epic sword battle action!

- Chihiro Rokuhira: (voiced by Shohei Ishige)
Son of renowned swordsmith Kunishige Rokuhira, Chihiro once aimed to become an outstanding swordsmith. However, following his father's death, he embarked on a path of revenge against the organisation responsible, the Hishaku. He displays a cool exterior with minimal facial expressions that hide his emotions, but is internally warm-hearted. As a result, Chihiro excels at caring for others, and even prioritizes helping others over seeking revenge. He possesses Kunishige's seventh Enchanted Blade, Enten, which summons goldfish to perform its techniques. - Togo Shiba: (voiced by Jun Fukushima)
A powerful sorcerer and an old friend of Kunishige, Shiba accompanies Chihiro in pursuit of the Hishaku and the Enchanted Blades. Formerly a member of the Kamunabi, he withdrew due to disagreeing with the Kamunabi's policies. Along with assisting Chihiro in combat, he provides valuable support to Chihiro through gathering intelligence and giving advice. - Hakuri Sazanami: A former member of the Sazanami Clan exiled and disowned by his father and clan head Kyora for his perceived weakness and uselessness to the clan, Hakuri vowed to to dismantle the clan's Rakuzaichi. After witnessing Chihiro and Sojo's clash in Tokyo, and being moved by Chihiro's courage, seeing him as a true samurai, he teams up with him in a common goal of shutting down the Rakuzaichi and providing information on the Sazanami Clan.
- Hiyuki Kagari: A hot-headed Kamunabi sorcerer and the strongest fighter in the organization, Hiyuki wields the Flame Bone of the Starving, which is said to possess strength on par with the Enchanted Blades.
- Tafuku Mihara: A Kamunabi sorcerer and Hiyuki's subordinate, built like a sumo wrestler.
- Char Kyonagi: (voiced by Miko Tateshi)
An orphan pursued by sorcerers due to the unique constitution of the Kyonagi Clan, Char possesses the ability to heal her wounds rapidly even when injured and can even heal the wounds of others, though to a lesser extent.

- Kunishige Rokuhira: (voiced by Kenta Fujimaki)
A renowned swordsmith who was the only one capable of working with the legendary material Datenseki, and also Chihiro's father. Kunishige brought an end to the Seitei War 18 years ago through the six Enchanted Blades he created, earning him the title and status of 'hero'. Three years ago, he was killed by the Hishaku, and his six Enchanted Blades were stolen by them.
- Hinao: (voiced by Akari Yui)
An acquaintance of Shiba's who runs Café Haru Haru, where she works as a liaison for to connect sorcerers in Tokyo with people seeking their services. Upon hearing of Chihiro's mission, she is quick to offer her assistance.
- Kamunabi: A government-affiliated agency of sorcerers established during the Seitei War with a mission statement to eliminate all threats in all of Japan. One of their current objectives is to obtain all Enchanted Blades from the Hishaku, so they themselves can make use of them to maintain peace in the nation.
- Azami: A high-ranking leader of the Kamunabi and an old friend of Shiba and Kunishige, Azami is considered one of the Kamunabi's strongest fighters. He conceals his knowledge of Chihiro and his blade Enten from the Kamunabi in order to deter them from chasing after Chihiro.
- Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces: A squadron of six elite sorcerers within the Kamunabi who were tasked with opposing Sojo and his enchanted blade Cloud Gouger.
- Ikuto Hagiwara: The captain of the Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces.
- Kazane Machi: The Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces' most recent member.
Antagonists[]
- Hishaku: A small group of elite sorcerers who murdered Kunishige and stole six of his Enchanted Blades three years ago and are as such the targets of Chihiro's revenge. Their expertise in sorcery is so great that they are compared to monsters. The group has made connections with many other organizations and individuals in the underworld to further their objectives.
- Yura: The leader of the Hishaku who is the mastermind behind the group's murder of Kunishige and theft of his Enchanted Blades, doing so in an attempt to wield the Enchanted Blade Shinuchi himself.
- Hiruhiko: A young man who was sent to assassinate Uruha and ran into Chihiro as the latter protects him.
- Genichi Sojo: A prominent weapons dealer in the underworld and wielder of the Enchanted Blade Cloud Gouger, Sojo is a ruthless individual and a fervent fan of Kunishige Rokuhira, aiming to harness the powers of Datenseki in an attempt to surpass him. Sojo believes the Enchanted Blades exist solely for mass murder rather than to protect the weak as Chihiro does, putting the two's ideals in direct opposition.
- Sazanami Clan: A powerful clan of sorcerers that is one of the most prominent and renowned criminal organizations in the underworld as the proprietors of the annual auction the Rakuzaichi. Their sorcery lineage takes two forms — the clan's patriarch maintains and controls a vast Storehouse of goods that once registered can be stored and summoned at a moment's notice, while the remaining clan members utilise "Isou", which allows them to create shockwaves.
- Kyora Sazanami: The 11th patriarch of the Sazanami Clan, lead auctioneer of the Rakuzaichi, and Hakuri's father, Kyora views material value as an important factor in making his decisions, and enjoys the challenge of negotiating with opponents. He prioritizes protecting the Rakuzaichi above all else.
- The Tou: A small team within the Sazanami Clan comprising of the four best sorcerers in the clan, whose sole purpose is the protection and execution of the patriarch of the clan's will.
- Soya Sazanami: Hakuri's elder brother of five years who is incredibly possessive of him, obsessively looking for him after Hakuri was exiled from the clan.
- Tenri Sazanami: Hakuri's younger brother of one year and is extremely devoted not only to the Rakuzaichi, but also to making his father proud of him.
