Itsuo Shirakai (
Appearance[]
Shirakai is an old man with short light-coloured hair and a moustache and beard. He has a scar on his chest and had bandages over his right arm and left foot around the ankle. His outfit consists of a white dress shirt under a black coat with white pants, glasses and black earrings.
Personality[]
Shirakai is a serious-appearing man with great conviction. Despite the opposition to his unique sword style, Shirakai maintained confidence in it, defeating every single one of his peers who spoke against him. His pride in the style is evident as later in life he wryly grinned when thinking back to his past.
Plot[]
Past[]
Sometime in the past, Shirakai created the Iai White Purity Style under the basis that the greatest speed led to the greatest strength in combat, creating stances in order to maximise a swordsman's movement and slashing speeds. While many of his peers maintained that it would be unsuccessful, citing its differences from most sword styles and inefficient grip positioning, Shirakai defeated all the naysayers against his style, proving its potency.[1]
The style would later gain great fame due to its immense power and incredible difficulty to learn; in the history of the style, only Seiichi Samura and Yoji Uruha were able to obtain certification that they had also mastered the style.[2]
Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: As the creator of the Iai White Purity Style, it can be assumed Shirakai is extremely proficient in his style. He was able to cut down several people who voiced oppositions to his style, proving its superiority in combat.[3]
Shirakai has accomplished the first stage of spirit energy usage, being able to use his spirit energy to strengthen his body to superhuman levels.
Combat Prowess[]
Master Swordsman: Having created a sword art regarded as 'legendary' and taught the likes of Samura and Uruha, it can be assumed Shirakai is an extremely powerful swordsman.

Though he has never been seen with one, it can be assumed Shirakai uses a katana as part of using his style.
Etymology[]
白 (Shira): "white" or "pure".廻 (Kai): "round" or "revolve".逸 (Itsu): "flee" or "hide".夫 (O): "man".
