Chihiro Rokuhira vs. Norisaku Madoka is a battle between Chihiro Rokuhira and Norisaku Madoka.
Chihiro discovers Char has witnessed an Enchanted Blade but Norisaku Madoka interrupts and takes hold of Char. Desiring to find out more about the Enchanted Blade and Norisaku's employer, Chihiro readies Enten in order to rescue Char.
Prologue[]
Norisaku holds Char hostage
While having a quiet meal, Chihiro asked Char about the powerful sword she had mentioned earlier and Char mentioned a cloud comes out of it. Surprised at the specific response, Chihiro moved to pry more information out of her, but Char only managed to mention that the sword's wielder had several henchmen under him when they were interrupted by a nearby customer, Norisaku Madoka throwing his chopsticks into the restaurant owner's neck.
Norisaku was glad to have finally found Char, but was surprised to see an apparent bodyguard with her. Norisaku spoke the word Invincible, causing a Daruma doll to appear and explode, blasting a hole in the restaurant and launching Chihiro outside.
Chihiro stood and realized that everything Char had mentioned was true, and that someone was genuinely pursuing her. Chihiro sincerely apologized to Char for doubting her, and Char forgave him, but had been caught by Norisaku. Char pleaded with Chihiro to rescue her, which Chihiro agreed to.
Battle[]
Shiba explains the Enchanted Blades' interactions with spirit energy
Chihiro is focused on devising a plan to rescue Char, but Norisaku insists that Char is his only concern and warns Chihiro against interfering. Suddenly, Chihiro swiftly draws his sword, calling its name, Enten before using Kuro to cut the rope binding Char. This surprises Norisaku, who notes Enten's ability to slash using spirit energy. Urgently, Chihiro calls for Shiba, who promptly arrives and uses sorcery to teleport Char to safety in his car.
Inside the car, Shiba ponders that there were indeed sorcerers after Char. Questioning Shiba's abilities, Char asks if she can also use sorcery. Shiba explains to Char that anyone can access sorcery through using spirit energy, which is present in every person.
Outside, Chihiro continues battling Norisaku, who demands Chihiro hand over Char. Chihiro refuses to do so because of his priorities and prepares to attack him. Norisaku notices Chihiro's goldfish and Char also wonders about the goldfish.
Norisaku informs Chihiro that this is his first encounter with someone wielding an enchanted blade in a combat
In the car, Shiba explains how the Enchanted Blades intensify a person's spirit energy to a highly concentrated level and is manifested as a shape, which in Enten's case takes the shape of a goldfish upon release. This amplified energy greatly surpasses what an individual sorcerer can produce.
Chihiro then uses Kuro and shoots out a horizontal slash which Norisaku is barely able to dodge it, part of his clothing cut off. He observes that Chihiro doesn't use spirit energy to activate abilities like he does, but rather attacks using spirit energy itself.
Norisaku tells Chihiro that he has encountered an Enchanted Blade previously but has never faced one in combat before, shooting daruma dolls at Chihiro all the while. Chihiro questions his opponent about the sword's location and who possesses it as he dodges the explosions, firing off a second Kuro.
Norisaku dodges out of the way quickly, shouting back that he should ask questions after he has defeated him. Norisaku internally reckons the blade's powers to be anticlimactic as he continues his assault, before sensing Char's presence nearby. Speaking up, he warns her that if she doesn't come out obediently, many innocent lives would die just as her mother did.
Upon hearing this, Char becomes scared, and Shiba comforts her by gently placing his hand on her head, encouraging her to trust Chihiro as the swordsman in question skillfully dodges the bombs, jumping and running across buildings. However, Char becomes more anxious as she sees Chihiro obscured by explosions, and Norisaku yells that Char is alone.
Chihiro uses Aka to absorb Norisaku's explosion
However, Chihiro uses Aka to absorb the explosions, Norisaku realising that Enten has multiple powers. Chihiro agrees that he will ask questions later, sending forth a stronger Kuro than before. Norisaku notes Chihiro has been holding back, and sends several daruma at Chihiro's feet, forcing Chihiro to jump into the air to evade the explosives. Norisaku then jumps up behind Chihiro and binds his arms with his wrist-ropes, preparing a daruma.
Staying composed, Chihiro points Enten at Norisaku, and uses Aka: Invincible, the absorbed explosion blasting Norisaku away. The daruma Norisaku had been readying then explodes and blasts Norisaku into the ground, defeating him. Chihiro lands safely and sheathes Enten.
Aftermath[]
After winning, Chihiro approaches Norisaku and questions him about his connections, motives for targeting Char, and the whereabouts of Cloud Gouger. Later, Norisaku was captured by Shiba for questioning in an abandoned area, using a rope and talisman to prevent him from using sorcery.
Through further lengthy interrogation, and even though Norisaku was initially reluctant to talk due to the consequences that would befall the both of them, Norisaku eventually revealed the identity of his boss: weapons dealer and prominent name in Japan's underworld Genichi Sojo, who was pursuing Char and possessed Cloud Gouger. From this information, Shiba surmised a link between Sojo and the Hishaku due to Sojo having obtained an enchanted blade. Shiba then called Chihiro and informed him of what he had learned, and the two decided Genichi Sojo would be their next target.
