Chihiro Rokuhira & Hiyuki Kagari vs. Kyora Sazanami is a battle fought by Chihiro Rokuhira and Hiyuki Kagari with Hakuri Sazanami's assistance against Kyora Sazanami, taking place during the Raid on the Rakuzaichi.

After finally entering the Storehouse and retrieving Enten, Chihiro aims to kill Kyora and destroy the Rakuzaichi. Kyora, for his part, aims to do whatever it takes to defend the Rakuzaichi; even make use of one of the items he is about to sell. Hiyuki, presented with the opportunity to claim two Enchanted Blades for the Kamunabi, refuses to sit back and observe.

Prologue[]

Following their discovery that the emergency door within the Naginojoen is broken, Chihiro, Shiba and Hakuri are confronted by Enji and Tamaki, who are determined not to let Tenri's sacrifice go to waste. While Shiba proposes they retreat, Hakuri instead tells him to teleport himself and Chihiro up to the auction hall, and Shiba does so.

Hakuri arrives at the auction hall.

Hakuri arrives at the auction hall.

Hakuri walks down the stairs of the auction hall, Storehouse mask on his face, staring at Kyora with determination. While conducting the auction, Kyora pays him a side glance, internally reasoning that Hakuri was likely trying to break into his Storehouse. Hakuri mutters that he had wanted to reject Kyora entirely, just like how Kyora had ignored him, but even while he was suffering he had still wanted Kyora to praise him. He transports a pair of pliers into Kyora's Storehouse, to Kyora's surprise. Hakuri tells Chihiro, descending alongside him, that while he was unable to do anything with the items within Kyora's Storehouse, he could send in entities he had registered.

Kyora immediately enters the Storehouse and sets up a projection to continue the auction proceedings. Hakuri spots this and tells Chihiro, before registering him and reporting he can send him into Kyora's Storehouse. Hakuri adds that he had gained the ability to transport Enten, given it still contained Chihiro's spirit energy. Chihiro questions what would happen if Kyora were to die, and after Hakuri hypothesises that it wouldn't be destroyed immediately, Chihiro notes that Hakuri could take over Kyora's Storehouse if Kyora were to die. He tells Hakuri to send him into the Storehouse, and Hakuri does so, telling Chihiro to kill his father.

Battle[]

Storehouse[]

Chihiro enters Kyora's Storehouse.

Chihiro enters Kyora's Storehouse.

Kyora enters the Storehouse from the earth and sees the pliers on the ground. He then looks up to see Chihiro descending from above, surprised he would dare enter the space despite having nothing but a useless Enchanted Blade. As Chihiro spots Enten, Kyora declares the Storehouse is his world and launches two pillars of earth from the ground, spiking up towards Chihiro. Hakuri, paying attention to the battle, is shocked at the scope of Kyora's ability within the Storehouse. Chihiro internally tells Cloud Gouger that though it is out of energy, as Rokuhira property it needs to pull it together. He aims towards the pillars and calls Mei, a devastating lightning bolt shattering the pillars and striking all the way down to the ground.

As the smoke clears, Kyora and Hakuri watching in silence, Chihiro internally states that he and Hakuri are not equal, as while Hakuri had no hesitation in standing up to his family, Chihiro himself had hesitated twice against Soya and Tenri to go for the killing blow. Cloud Gouger disintegrates in Chihiro's hand and Chihiro thanks it, before setting a hand on Enten, once more at his side. He is internally determined that if he cannot kill Kyora, he has no right to wield an Enchanted Blade. In one smooth motion, Chihiro calls Enten and unsheathes it, the tri-coloured goldfish swimming beside him once more.

Chihiro activates Nishiki and Kuro: Shred against Kyora.

Chihiro activates Nishiki and Kuro: Shred against Kyora.

Chihiro immediately activates Nishiki and Kuro: Shred, coloured trails surrounding his body and a school of black fish filling the air. Kyora states that according to their deal to trade Hakuri with Enten, Enten is his to sell and his to retrieve. Chihiro comments that Kyora appears collected, questioning if he had anticipated all the events that had happened. Kyora admits he would accept any result so long as he had done the best he could, and he still had his life to put on the line for the Rakuzaichi. Chihiro replies that his best would have been believing in Hakuri and Kyora brushes the comment aside, as they would battle to the death for Enten and the Rakuzaichi.

In an instant Chihiro darts forward past the school of goldfish, Enten's blade aimed directly at Kyora. As the black goldfish are scattered in all directions (in actuality sent to imbue the various prisoners with Chihiro's spirit energy so Hakuri can transport them out of the Storehouse) and Enten swerves close to Kyora's neck, Kyora raises the earth in front of him, katana placed within the pillars as they force Chihiro to leap into the air. Kyora brushes his neck and notes that was a close call. Chihiro lands and notices the katana inserted into the earth, also taking into account Kyora's reflexes and hand-eye coordination to counter Nishiki's speed. Kyora muses that he had displayed his dedication to the Rakuzaichi, so using the prisoners as hostages wouldn't work.

Spreading his hands, the Storehouse begins shifting, the items in the space moving to both sides and leaving a wide open clearing for Chihiro and Kyora to battle in. Two pillars rise behind Kyora as he declares the Storehouse is his space; the earth, the entities within, everything answered to him and him alone. While previously he had been open about his belief that he would lose in combat to an Enchanted Blade, Kyora proclaims that in the Storehouse, he can kill Chihiro. Pillars of earth are thrown at Chihiro, Hakuri and Chihiro surprised by the sheer scale of Kyora's attacks. Chihiro's Nishiki-enhanced speed allows him to evade the pillars, but Kyora begins to place grenades in his pillars, explosions filling the air as Chihiro's dodging becomes less and less effective.

Chihiro slashes the explosives.

Chihiro slashes the explosives.

Hakuri realises that Chihiro's speed wouldn't be sufficient against the sheer number of explosives, and Chihiro suddenly finds around a dozen grenades transported around him. Hakuri shouts in concern but Chihiro smoothly swings Enten to bisect each of the grenades, Hakuri immediately realising Chihiro's plan. Kyora is confused why Chihiro has slashed them but Hakuri then transports the grenades into the auction hall, where they detonate and kill a number of auction-goers. Kyora catches on that Hakuri is using the presence of Chihiro's spirit energy to transport the items but states that their counterattack was pointless, and he hadn't even been injured so far. While Kyora had the entirety of the Storehouse to work with, Chihiro and Hakuri were running out.

As Chihiro exhales, Kyora prepares pillars once more as he declares he will defend the Rakuzaichi, before abruptly realising the majority of the prisoners are gone. Kyora remembers the black goldfish and surmises that Chihiro and Hakuri had used them to evacuate the prisoners, while Hakuri allows himself a weak grin as he hears auction-goers fleeing the auction hall. Kyora curses the children and raises earth over the remaining prisoner cages. His projection within the auction hall slams down his gavel, shouting for everyone to remain, as the auction would proceed as planned. He then announces the auctioning of Shinuchi will proceed immediately. The crowd goes wild at the news and sticks around, Kyora noting their emotions were likely heightened after the explosions. On the inside, Kyora narrows his eyes and states he will crush Chihiro and Hakuri, and Chihiro tells Hakuri that they need to act fast.

Chihiro finds the earth is blocking his goldfish from reaching the prisoners and knows he needs to kill Kyora in order to free them. Kyora mocks Chihiro's attempts at freeing his merchandise and Chihiro retorts that they would properly battle to the death now. Kyora notes that one of them was already at his limit, and Hakuri rapidly finds his nose bleeding and his head splitting, affected by the mental burden of transportation. He realises in shock that Kyora had been using the Storehouse's abilities even more than he had and appeared almost unaffected. Kyora internally states that connecting one's mind to a subspace is incredibly taxing, and could fry one's brain if taken too far. He states that the two cannot surpass him now, and Chihiro grows worried at hearing the implication that Hakuri is suffering.

Kyora tells the two that countless Sazanami Clan ancestors have dedicated themselves to the Rakuzaichi, and today was the greatest day of them all, where two Enchanted Blades were slated for auction. Hence, Kyora declares, it was time for him to put an end to their interference, subtle irritation on his face. Chihiro notes Kyora does get emotional, but didn't care for even the death of his children. In return, Kyora takes off his coat and simply states that with the Rakuzaichi not yet complete, there was no point in grieving; they had done their duty, and now it was his turn to fulfil his. Chihiro shouts in accusation at the very idea that Kyora could call himself a father, and Kyora rejects whatever criteria Chihiro is using to measure him as a father, emphasising instead that he is the head of the Sazanami Clan.

In an instant, the ground beneath Chihiro disappears, a hole present. Spears of earth converge on his location as Kyora reckons that if Chihiro has no ground to set foot on, his speed would be useless. Still, the spears only pierce Chihiro's coat, Chihiro himself managing to dodge, to Kyora's surprise. More pillars slam down towards Chihiro as he dodges, Chihiro knowing he is running out of energy from the events of the day. Ideally, he would spend as little time as possible in the battle, but grimaces at the sheer volume and lethality of Kyora's attacks. Kyora is adamant that Chihiro cannot approach him, but as blood begins leaking from his own nose, he knows that he cannot drag things out either.

Believing Hakuri would be useless, he decides to use grenades to finish Chihiro. Chihiro then dashes in and uses Kuro: Shred, calling together the remaining goldfish. Kyora watches as Chihiro sends a barrage of smaller slashes at him at once, but raises a wall to block the attack. The wall crumbles to reveal Enten flying straight towards him. Kyora promptly transports a saber into his hand and parries the blade upwards. He recognises the gamble Chihiro had taken, throwing Enten as he couldn't get in close enough, but states it is not enough, transporting a number of grenades around Chihiro as they detonate in a massive explosion.

Chihiro slashes Kyora.

Chihiro slashes Kyora.

Kyora exhales, but inexplicably thinks of Chihiro's statement that he should have believed in Hakuri. Reflexively, Kyora turns to see Chihiro with Enten behind him, ready to swing. Kyora admits Hakuri has surpassed his imagination yet again, having transported Chihiro, but Kyora is one step ahead, slashing through Chihiro with his saber. As Kyora believes in his victory, he suddenly discovers the Chihiro he is slashing through is a projection. Looking upwards, he sees the real Chihiro speeding from above with Enten in hand. As Hakuri tells Chihiro to do it, Chihiro delivers a devastating slash to Kyora's chest, drawing blood and causing Kyora to scream in pain.

Pillars of earth rise and cover Kyora, a space appearing beneath him where he consolidates himself, groaning at the agony of his wound, which he knows is fatal. Despite knowing he will die soon, Kyora is resolute that the Rakuzaichi will proceed no matter what. He transports Shinuchi's box next to him, adamant that the Enchanted Blade is his merchandise, and opens the box. In the auction hall, the screens above displaying Kyora's projections suddenly begin showing the interior of the Storehouse, prompting discussions about a demonstration of Shinuchi's capabilities.

Magatsumi[]

A huge butterfly emerges above Kyora after Magatsumi is activated.

Within the Storehouse, Chihiro is worried about whatever Kyora is doing underground and fires a Kuro through the earth, which impacts Kyora and creates a crack in the ground. Looking down, Chihiro sees Kyora is missing and Shinuchi's box is opened, eyes widening in horror. Chihiro turns behind him to see Kyora with Magatsumi in his grasp. A droplet of spirit energy falls from the gap between Magatsumi's tsuba and sheath, and just before it hits the ground, Akemura Soga calls Magatsumi, activating the blade. The droplet falls and spreads in a circular area, flowers growing and a butterfly emerging from the flowers. The butterfly flies upwards and imbues itself within Kyora's hand, before the flower field dissipates and a gigantic butterfly appears behind Kyora; Magatsumi's spirit energy manifestation.

Shadows over his uncovered eye, Kyora comments that though he could not draw the sword, and could only use a fraction of the blade's power, it truly was immense. Chihiro senses another presence within Kyora and questions whether or not it is Kyora talking, but Kyora suddenly moves forward with far greater speed than previously, slamming Magatsumi's sheath downwards and forcing Chihiro to block, Chihiro shocked that even Magatsumi's sheath could cut like a blade.

On the stairs, Hakuri worries that they are both running low, but Hiyuki then walks down the stairs, readying Flame Bone and asking about the situation. Hakuri explains the situation involving the Storehouse, Chihiro, Kyora and the prisoners and agrees to transport Hiyuki into the Storehouse, though threatened that if she harmed Chihiro, he wouldn't let her out until she died. That said, Hakuri prepares to transport Hiyuki in.

Kyora kicks Chihiro back, Chihiro grimacing at the strength, before Kyora points Magatsumi at Chihiro. However, Kyora does not activate any ability, instead pressing his hand to his head as he realises another presence is invading his mind, reasoning that the Master Swordsman or Shinuchi was trying to possess him. Chihiro suddenly sees cracks appear as the Storehouse begins to destabilise, chunks of earth separating from the ground. Kyora notes that he had previously been unable to stand and seconds from dying; if this was the price for evading death, he would resist it as much as possible, the shadows over his eye lessening.

Kyora's projection announces that he will be demonstrating Shinuchi's power, and after killing Chihiro he would auction Enten. Levelling Magatsumi perpendicular to the ground, Kyora calls Spider, a spiderweb appearing around Chihiro and preventing him from moving. Kyora then points Magatsumi at Chihiro and activates Dragonfly, wings of spirit energy briefly appearing around the sheathed blade. The flower field reappears on the ground and begins extending to Chihiro's location. Knowing he cannot touch it, Chihiro prepares to call on the red goldfish but is interrupted by Hiyuki being transported into the Storehouse and detonating the ground, halting the attack.

Hiyuki arrives in Kyora's Storehouse.

Hiyuki arrives in Kyora's Storehouse.

Hiyuki comments that Chihiro looks dead on his feet, and Chihiro wonders where Hiyuki had come from, realising she must have made contact with Hakuri. Chihiro then reports that there are still many prisoners present and Hiyuki acknowledges it, stating they need to focus on killing Kyora first. Hiyuki briefly recounts her encounter with Hakuri, wondering what had happened to him in the last week, an impressed Chihiro minutely grinning. Staring at Kyora, Hiyuki questions how he was still alive with his wounds, Chihiro stating it was likely Shinuchi's power; though he did not know for sure, given his father had refused to speak about Shinuchi when it was mentioned.

The Storehouse begins crumbling further, Chihiro chalking it up to Shinuchi's influence, and notes they need to hurry. Hiyuki snaps at him to stop giving her orders, especially after she had saved his life. Chihiro states he could have blocked it and Hiyuki voices her disbelief, knowing he would need an attack on Flame Bone's tier to counter it. On cue, Chihiro uses Aka: Flame Bone, flames engulfing his left arm. Hiyuki blankly stares at him and asks if he had absorbed it, to which Chihiro explains he had used Aka to temporarily absorb and wield the attack during their first clash. After Hiyuki briefly shouts in indignation at Chihiro using her powers, Chihiro maintains they need to hurry, Hiyuki again telling him not to give her orders.

Chihiro fires a Kuro infused with Flame Bone's fire.

Chihiro launches Kuro forth at Kyora, the flying slash now also flaming. Recognising the strength of the attack as it sears the ground, Kyora blocks the attack with Magatsumi. Hiyuki then advances behind him with flaming fist raised, and Kyora quickly turns to block, before kicking Hiyuki back in order to block a strike from Chihiro. Chihiro realises Kyora's physical abilities had been greatly enhanced. As Hiyuki lands, Kyora then drags Magatsumi along the ground, a flower field appearing in its wake and preventing Chihiro and Hiyuki from approaching, and Kyora manages to draw a sliver of Magatsumi out of its sheath. An array of circular structures appears around Kyora before he uses Centipede and slams the blade into its sheath. An omnidirectional force is unleashed around Kyora, with both Chihiro and Hiyuki forced to block and blasted several metres away.

As Chihiro and Hiyuki walk back towards Kyora, each of the three are internally resolute in their view of Magatsumi. Hiyuki views it as the Kamunabi's weapon, Kyora views it as the Sazanami Clan's merchandise, and Chihiro views it as Rokuhira property. The projections in the auction hall, both of the Storehouse and of Kyora, abruptly disappear, and Kyora begins screaming in pain as he clutches his head with his free hand, the Storehouse crumbling further and further, now resembling a series of floating islands rather than a single landmass. Chihiro voices to Hiyuki that the prisoners are in danger and Hiyuki retorts that she knows, before the two dash forward, resolute in their desire to end Kyora now.

The two launch attacks at Kyora and Kyora blocks even as he shouts in agony, before suddenly the three are transported above the stage of the Rakuzaichi auction hall. In one swift motion, Kyora quickly readies Centipede and blasts Chihiro and Hiyuki to opposite sides of the stands, before kneeling on the ground, groaning in pain. Chihiro rapidly realises that was not Hakuri transporting them and they had not been registered by Kyora, and wonders if Shinuchi's destabilisation of the Storehouse is what is causing their sudden eviction. He worries for what will happen to the prisoners still inside the Storehouse.

Shiba arrives near Hakuri and asks about the situation, only to see spirit energy flood out from the still-sheathed Magatsumi and form a pool on the ground, small branches beginning to grow out of Kyora's hand. The pool of spirit energy covers the stage and begins extending past it while flowers begin growing from within en masse. As the flower fields reach the stands, several auction-goers are caught within them, and flowers begin to rapidly grow within them, killing them from the inside out. Shiba is horrified to see Kyora can use Shinuchi. On the stage, Kyora's brows crease in determination, opposing Soga with all his might.

Hiyuki voices that she will kill Kyora but a nearby Hakuri warns her from doing so, as the situation has changed. While Hiyuki walks over, Hakuri explains that the Storehouse was disintegrating, and Kyora was desperately trying to maintain it and was the only thing slowing the destruction down; so killing him was now no longer an option. Hiyuki raises the question of how they would save the prisoners and Hakuri elaborates that someone would need to go into the Storehouse and imbue each prisoner with spirit energy so he could transport them out. Shiba is against the decision (Hiyuki briefly questioning who Shiba is), stating that Kyora would only be able to last a few more seconds, and going in was tantamount to suicide. Hiyuki still refuses to let all the prisoners to die.

Chihiro resolves to save every last prisoner.

Chihiro resolves to save every last prisoner.

On the other side of the auction hall, Chihiro stands and looks the group in the eye. Instinctively knowing what Chihiro wants to do, Shiba shouts for him to stop, as he is already on his limit, and he would die alongside Kyora if he went in. A wide-eyed Hiyuki gazes at Chihiro's determined expression as he announces he will save every single person. Hakuri then transports Chihiro into the Storehouse, urging him to hurry. With Nishiki active, Chihiro begins making contact with each prisoner, Hakuri transporting each one out. As Chihiro continues to move around the collapsing Storehouse, Hiyuki asks how many are left, and Hakuri counts thirty-six. Shiba questions if Chihiro can do it, while Chihiro is laser-focused on being as fast as possible.

Hakuri explains that only Kyora's will to maintain the Storehouse was keeping it from disappearing; if Shinuchi were to overcome him, everything in the Storehouse would cease to exist. Meanwhile, the flower field continues to spread upwards. Some auction-goers shout for the auction to keep going while others are more focused on saving their own lives. The Shinuchi Bidding Team rise to leave, the elder member voicing that Kyora was done and the Rakuzaichi was finished. Shiba views that there is no way that Kyora could control Shinuchi, and there was no way he could hold out any longer.

On the stage, Kyora abruptly remembers his wife's last words, her criticising the Rakuzaichi for how it had brainwashed and corrupted Kyora. He ponders the possibility of a life where the Rakuzaichi did not exist, picturing himself, his wife, Soya, Hakuri and Tenri around a dinner table. Abruptly, he reaches for the gavel on the auctioneer's stand and slams it down, shattering the idyllic vision. A memory of Kyora's father Sora on the day Kyora had become the 11th clan head arises in his mind, Sora reminding him that with his duty done, he was entrusting Kyora with the Rakuzaichi and its traditions. Duty and persistence spiking to unprecedented levels, Kyora dissipates the flower field entirely and rises to his feet, screaming through a bloody mouth that he will kill anyone who interferes with the Rakuzaichi, and it will not and cannot be stopped.

Shiba is flabbergasted that Kyora had overcome Shinuchi using his dedication to the Rakuzaichi, and realises in turn that Hakuri's plan revolved around that happening. Shiba suddenly realises that everyone around him is crazy in their sheer willpower. Kyora shouts that he will pay any price to whoever kills the interlopers and demands that the auction will proceed. Several auction-goers rush towards Hakuri but Hiyuki bats them aside, telling Hakuri to focus and that she will handle anyone who approaches. Shiba turns to support Hakuri on his other side, telling him to keep it up.

Within the Storehouse, Chihiro continues moving around the collapsing Storehouse, tagging one after another. One by one, the prisoners disappear, Hakuri transporting them out, and Hakuri clutches his heavily bleeding nose as he cements that he will never let someone die on his watch again. Ten people are left as Kyora begins coughing blood, flowers now growing out of more parts of his body. With one last prisoner, Chihiro shoots towards them just as the mask on Kyora's face shatters and the Storehouse dissipates into nothing. Shiba anxiously asks what happened and Hakuri confirms that they had saved everyone. He then asks where Chihiro is, only for Chihiro to appear on the auction hall stage next to a kneeling Kyora.

Kyora's death.

Kyora's death.

Thinking back to the possibility of the Rakuzaichi never existing, Kyora knows the question of his determination was not why he had failed. With the thought of Chihiro telling him he should have believed in Hakuri in his mind, Kyora tells Chihiro that he was right, internally noting that because Hakuri didn't fall in line with his views, Kyora had ignored him. He turns to see Hakuri on the stairs, Storehouse mask absent and eyes sorrowful despite everything. In his mind, Kyora admits that he was the one who had failed to fulfil his duty, the bodies of Tenri and Soya flashing to him. He sets Magatsumi down beside him, and Chihiro realises in shock that Kyora had evaded the Enchanted Blade's influence all the way to the very end of his life, where he died as himself, flowers blooming from his corpse.

Aftermath[]

The auction-goers immediately realise Kyora is dead and begin rushing down to grab for Magatsumi. The Shinuchi Bidding Team members, about to exit the hall, turn to see Hiyuki beginning to destroy the building. Seeing the building collapsing, Shiba throws Hakuri over his back and teleports down to grab Chihiro, stating that they need to go. Chihiro reaches onto and grabs Magatsumi first, but just as Shiba teleports away, Tafuku takes Chihiro and Hiyuki into his alternate dimension. Hiyuki places a foot on Magatsumi, musing that it was safe to touch now, and solemnly reminds Chihiro that she would be taking both Enchanted Blades, apologising.

Chihiro states he hadn't wanted anyone else to have the Enchanted Blades, but things have changed. After seeing Shinuchi's powers, Chihiro admits that he was horrified by the magnitude and destructiveness of that power, wondering if his father's silence on the matter of Shinuchi was to hide it. He states he doesn't know how Shinuchi works or whether a situation like that could happen again, and thus could not simply let it be; he needs it to be sealed. Hiyuki tells him to hand the blade over to the Kamunabi for that reason but Chihiro interrupts her, explaining that the risks are too great.

He reminds her that she had seen what happened at the Rakuzaichi, adding that the Hishaku were there, and one had told him that their goal was to use Shinuchi. Despite expecting the Kamunabi to buy Shinuchi, they had placed it up for auction anyway, and thus even if the Kamunabi could seal Shinuchi it was probable that the Hishaku wanted the Kamunabi to have it in the first place. Chihiro surmises that the Hishaku will make their next move once the Kamunabi have Shinuchi, though Hiyuki counters his points and states to seal Shinuchi, the Kamunabi need to have the blade. Against the threat of the Hishaku, they would drive them into the open and thwart them.

Chihiro agrees, noting the fact that both parties wanted to ensure the Enchanted Blades weren't used for evil makes their objective the same. With trepidation, he takes his hand off Shinuchi and tells her to take it, though states he refuses to step away, remembering Shiba's statement there would likely be internal conflict regarding what to do with Shinuchi. Chihiro recalls how Hiyuki's mission would be done once the Kamunabi had Enten, and proposes a mutually beneficial solution; letting him join the Kamunabi. Hiyuki accepts, the three leaving the collapsing auction building to find Shiba and Hakuri outside.

Tafuku puts Chihiro down before beginning to walk off with Hiyuki. Shiba steadies Chihiro before seeing a heavily bandaged Magatsumi in Hiyuki's hand. He asks what Hiyuki is doing with it and she replies that she offered a deal to Chihiro and he agreed to it. At Chihiro's confirmation, Shiba accepts the response. Hakuri asks Chihiro what they had discussed and Chihiro notes it concerned what would happen next. In return, Chihiro asks Hakuri what he will do and Hakuri thinks back to Shiba telling him not to worry about his family, though notes he can't exactly return to them as he is their enemy now. Hands on his knees, Hakuri admits that though Kyora was crooked, he had always looked to his father for what to do and didn't know what to do now.

A shout from behind prompts Hakuri to turn and see Yuu reuniting with his sister in a tearful embrace, Chihiro reminding Hakuri that he had saved them. Seeing how he had inspired hope that had paid off, Hakuri asks Chihiro if he can keep fighting with him, wanting to prove the worth Chihiro had seen in him. He then asks what they will do.

The end of the Rakuzaichi.

The end of the Rakuzaichi.

For over 200 years, people's hopes were dashed and their lives were assigned prices at the hive of villainy that was the Rakuzaichi; and now, after so many years, the curtain falls.

Chihiro and Hakuri would then fall asleep and Shiba would take them to an apartment, where Hiyuki and Tafuku would play video games with him while waiting for Chihiro and Hakuri to wake up.

The Hishaku would meet up and delight that everything was going according to plan, Yura commenting that their next move would soon begin.
