Healing (
Summary[]
Enten clashes with Magatsumi and Yura forces Chihiro back. Shadows are once again present in Yura's eyes as he meets Chihiro's declaration that things will end here with the response that they have only just begun. Chihiro readies a Kuro, but Yura points Magatsumi forward and orders Dragonfly, the pinpoint blast slamming Chihiro into another building. In an instant, Samura shifts into the building and halts Chihiro's momentum, flames healing his wounds in an instant. Samura internally notes that Yura is only indirectly using Shinuchi's power and does not have a Contract with it; through killing Yura, they could at least resolve this battle, leaving the situation regarding Shinuchi and the Master Swordsman for later.
Yura darts forward in pursuit and clashes with Chihiro again, Chihiro gritting his teeth as he realises Yura's strength. Samura shifts behind Yura and slashes forth, but Yura dives to the ground, moving Magatsumi away from Enten as he ducks under Tobimune and moving Magatsumi towards Samura's throat. Chihiro remembers Yura's impressive reflexes when he fought him at the Rakuzaichi, but they were on another level now. He then sees a wound on Yura's shoulder heal, eyes widening in surprise.
It is revealed that Magatsumi affects vitality, able to enhance its wielder's and also rob others' vitality to grant it to its wielder; Magatsumi amplifies all actions related to vitality, including physical prowess. Spirit energy leaks from Magatsumi and flowers erupt onto Yura's body as the battle explodes through the empty building's floors, Yura clashing again and again with the two flaming swordsmen against him. Chihiro sees that Yura is not suffering like Kyora was, and was using abilities Kyora had not.
Samura notes with irritation that Yura was approaching the level of power the Master Swordsman had after the Seitei War, and identifies that Yura cannot draw the blade, but wonders how much of Magatsumi's abilities Yura can access. His ears pick up on Shiba's movement and Samura realises that even with Shiba evacuating everyone nearby, there were bound to be casualties eventually. He shouts to Chihiro for them to end things quickly and rushes in, but Yura responds with Spider, Chihiro identifying it instantly. The web-shaped construct envelops the entire building, but with Samura and Chihiro covered in the flames of Suzaku, the unnatural state the two are in is nullified after only a second.
Figuring that opportunity is more than enough, Yura runs forth and points the handle of Magatsumi towards Samura before activating Dragonfly. The reversed blast propels Yura forward straight out of the building and into an empty train car at a train station, Samura taken with him by the blast but unharmed. Yura then spins Magatsumi around and points the sheath towards Samura, using Dragonfly once more. Samura realises the sheer speed Yura has obtained, and in a split-second realises the civilians outside the train car on the platform. Samura then hears a nearby Shiba say he has emptied out the car already, telling Samura to finish Yura.
Black feathers erupt around the two and cover the train car, a note stating Samura's True Realm allows him to apply Tobimune's abilities to entities beyond himself, including objects. Yura realises in shock as Samura activates Crow that Samura aims to shift the entire train car, and the two of them within. The train car ends up high in the sky, but Yura's Dragonfly destroys a large chunk of Samura's torso. Readying Magatsumi vertically and forming a Centipede construct, Yura notes that Samura's concern for the civilians led him to endure Dragonfly without defending. He tells Samura that his weakness is being unable to let sacrifices happen in order to accomplish greatness.
A black goldfish appears in the train car, immediately before an inflamed Chihiro appears in its place behind Yura. Chihiro tells Yura that he will show him that the reason for the Enchanted Blades' existence is to save lives. Seeing that he has been given an aerial battlefield, Chihiro knows he cannot let Yura go back down. Yura then releases the Centipede he had prepared, but Chihiro points Enten forward and charges forward through the shockwave.
The train car is shattered into pieces, but Chihiro is only able to pierce Yura's side. Yura voices his acknowledgement that Chihiro had sacrificed his body to push through Centipede in a single strike, but notes his gamble has been lost, as Chihiro has not hit any internal organs. Chihiro states the gamble has only just begun, and shouts for Samura's firepower. Samura, currently healing the wound he had incurred from Dragonfly, increases the potency of the flames covering Chihiro, which begin spreading to Yura.
It is noted by Samura that Suzaku's power is healing, specifically eliminating any abnormal or irregular states in the body. As Yura is wielding abilities that are not his own, Samura reckons that if that counts as an abnormality, Suzaku's flames can sever the connection between Yura and Shinuchi. Chihiro sees the shadows begin to fade away and realises it is working, shouting for Yura to let go of his blade, while the burning Yura grits his teeth.
