The kanji for Kuregumo, 刳雲, reads more like "Clear Clouds" or "Serene Sky". Cloud Gouger is an awesome name but comes across to me as an improper translation. Is there anyone who can help me figure out why it's called this? Is that a nickname like Magatsumi/Shinuchi?

Also, for fun, here are the translations of other Enchanted Blades' names:

• Enten (淵天) might mean something like "Deep Heaven" or "Abyssal/Black Sky". Considering it manifests goldfish, maybe it's meant to conjure up an image of the ocean and sky.

• Magatsumi (勾罪) seemed to mean something like "Captured Sin". Fitting and creepy. The first kanji frequently appears as part of words for arrest and detention.

• Kumeyuri (酌揺) is a fun one! The first kanji refers to serving alcoholic drinks like sake while the second means to shake or sway. This one's tricky to directly translate but it's clearly meant to call to mind an image of a party banquet. I think "kume" is supposed to be the command form for a verb, so it's something like "Drink and Sway"??

• Tobimune (飛宗) is another weird one. Tobi means "fly", that's easy, but the "mune" refers to religion. Something like "flying faith"?

We have now explained the Iai White Purity Style, the clicks to used, it's unrealistic, but i guess.. rule of cool. Which since is the first explained style of the series, i don't mind.

But a wish of mine for the series, it's to shown real life sword styles. I wouldn’t mind if the author give a fictional name, as long he shows how realistic it is, maybe with a bit of extra flair considering the aspect of spirit energy physical boost.

For example, the Wind Breathing from Demon Slayer, which is based on Jigen-ryū. Love Breathing being based on Urumi.

Maybe if Horizontal do a research on swordsmanship just like he did on blacksmith, he can pull it off

Hi everyone! It's been a long while since I've gotten into wiki editing, and although I know how to set up basic formats for pages, and add information and substance to sections, I've never been good with adding pictures or doing any sorts of stylistic formatting, so thank you to whoever picked up where I left off! It's nice seeing things come together, no?

I just got into/caught up to Kagurabachi in the past 4 days. I really enjoy the series, and want to help build up its community. I hope it'll continue to gain traction globally, and live up to the hype that was at first just a joke! When I found out that Hokazono-sensei (look at me, all cringe with the honorifics) was only 24, I was completely blown away, so I hope we can make him proud and happy with his works!

I think it could be a hit or miss, since its being made by "Cygames Studio", known for making Isakei anime. Since Kagurabachi is brimming with action sequences, I'm conflicted on how this will end up. I expect the anime to come out in spring 2025.

Do you think we will get to see some flashbacks about Seitei War?

Because I'm somehow getting the feeling that war is kinda like the Jouei war in Gintama and there's such impressive plot behind that war.

We know pretty much nothing about that war, like with whom they were fighting against, what exactly happened at that war, why that war began and who orchestrated it, and how did Kunishige create those enchanted blades, 'cause they decided the course of the war.

And also how it is connected with the Hishaku, because we learned that organization has been active from at least four years prior the current timeline, which means, about a year prior Kunishige's death. I wanna know why after fourteen years they suddenly chose to appear and then murder the creators of those weapons.

Although Hiyuki's Flame Bone of Starvation is heavily implied to be a weapon (It was mentioned in reference to the Sacred Blades as if it was also a weapon and Chihiro's Aka version was only the flame), in the wiki it's categorized as an Innate ability. I guess it's pretty clear that this is something she summons and doesn't just carry around, but it still feels wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

So, we know that Azami and Shiba helped Kunishige go into hiding after the war in the mountains, which is supposed to be an undisclosed location. This means only Azami, Shiba, and Kunishige knew about this location, which raises the question of how the Hishaku got to know about their location. If we remove Kunishige then only Azami & Shiba knew of their whereabouts...now I don't want to jump the gun here but something tells me that there is someone inside the organisation who knew of this location (a rat or a mole whatever you want to call it) then it is interesting who apart from Azami or Shiba is a mole or the more interesting outlook might be that out of both Shiba & Azami is there a chance that either of them is a mole?

I just finished the 6th chapter of the manga (still have 46 chapters left 😭) and LOVE it, I haven't read much but I still can't wait for an anime adaptation.

What kind of plot armor does Ikuto have? Shiyumi gets nicked in the shoulder and dies, but Ikuto loses both legs and survives. Huh??
